Cheah Sin Ann or Cheah as he is professionally known, is a Malaysian from the northern state of Kelantan and is responsible for what is arguably the first Singapore-made English language daily cartoon strip, 'The House of Lim', which ran in The Straits Times in late 80s till the mid 90s.
'The House of Lim' introduced the Chinese way of life to the world like no other popular culture: funny, witty and hilarious, the strip garnered more than a few fans in and around the region.
Today, Cheah is on a higher mission - to save the Earth. His new cartoon strip, 'Billy and Saltie', tackles issues on nature, wildlife and the environment on a daily basis in backdrops of tropical waters, mangrove swamps and rainforests.
Cheah works and lives in Singapore with his wife and two young children.
